My work encourages us to think differently about our relationship to nature.  Inspired by the materials I find in the forests and on the beach, I used them to tell stories of imaginary journeys and quiet retreats.   As I worked with these organic materials, I discovered that nature herself is our first artist, offering models of beauty, shape, proportion, texture and design.  

My recent work addresses contemporary political and ecological issues.  I show what happens when man interferes with nature.  This work sends a message and a warning, asking us to pay attention before we destroy what we most value.
